About Cluck & Sprout

Welcome to Cluck & Sprout, our backyard space for gardening, chickens, DIY projects, recipes, and everything we’re learning along the way. What started with a few garden beds and a backyard flock has gradually grown into a much bigger collection of projects, experiments, and ideas. We’re usually planting something, building something, fixing something, or figuring out a better way to use the space we have.

Cluck & Sprout is where we document that process and share what works, what doesn’t, and what we learn along the way.

What You’ll Find Here

We focus on practical backyard projects and real experience, including chickens, gardening, DIY builds, recipes, and backyard homesteading. That can mean anything from raised beds, trellises, irrigation, and vegetable growing to flock life, composting, simple recipes, and projects that make the backyard more useful.

We try to keep things practical and easy to follow so someone can look at a project, understand how we approached it, and decide whether it might work in their own space.

Learning as We Go

We don’t pretend to have everything figured out. A big part of Cluck & Sprout is documenting what happens after a project is finished or a seed goes into the ground.

Some ideas work better than expected, while others need to be adjusted. Weather, pests, chickens, and plants have a way of making sure there is always something new to learn. When something works, we’ll show you how we did it, and when something doesn’t, we’ll share that too.

Built in Our Own Backyard

The projects and growing experiences shared here come from our own Florida backyard. That means dealing with heat, humidity, heavy rain, sandy soil, long growing seasons, aggressive vines, garden pests, and the occasional storm.

Our goal is to make the most of the space we have while creating a backyard that produces food, supports our chickens, gives us room to experiment, and is enjoyable for our family.

Why Cluck & Sprout?

The name pretty much sums it up. There are usually chickens clucking somewhere nearby, and there is almost always something new sprouting in the garden.

Cluck & Sprout is our way of sharing the projects, lessons, harvests, mistakes, and ideas that come with building a productive backyard one project at a time.

Thanks for following along and growing with us.
